Dr. Sharon Kramer, principal and marine renewable energy team lead, and Amy Sparks, regulatory specialist, are attending the Association of Environmental Professionals meeting on April 6–9 in Oxnard, CA. Dr. Kramer is on a panel addressing “Environmental Impacts and Mitigation: Seabirds and Marine Mammals”.
We’re sponsoring the annual SERCAL Conference (April 21–23 in Sacramento, California). Senior restoration ecologist, Ryan Hegstad, is chairing the Sycamore panel and associate restoration ecologist, Kate Drake, is presenting “Sycamore Alluvial Woodland Restoration at Pacheco Creek Restoration Project”. Members of our landscape architecture and restoration ecology groups will also be at the conference, including Joe Howard, Matt Wacker, and Charles McClain.
Dr. Scott Terrill, principal and avian ecologist; Dr. Jeff Smith, raptor expert and associate; and Stephanie Schneider, wildlife ecologist, co-authored “Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Used to Assess Performance of Automated Detection and Audio Deterrent System for Reducing Wind-Turbine Collision Risk for Golden Eagles” published in The Journal of Raptor Research.
