Matt Wacker is a principal and leads the company’s land management services and our Sacramento Valley office based in Folsom, California. With more than 20 years of experience, he has played a key role on hundreds of projects in the Central Valley, Sierra Nevada region, the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, other areas of California. His work is related to natural resources inventory, management, restoration, and monitoring. Matt’s particular area of expertise is the ecology and management of grasslands, montane meadows, oak woodlands, and associated wetland and riparian ecosystems. Matt is also a Certified Rangeland Manager licensed to prepare rangeland management plans and similar documents on nonfederal lands within California.
Matt has an M.S. in environmental science, policy, and management and a Master of City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley; and a B.A. in behavioral ecology from the University of California, Davis.
