Dr. Scott Terrill, vice president and the principal in charge of our Hawaii office and company research activities, is an internationally recognized avian ecology and behavior expert, with more than 40 years of experience studying birds, 30 of them at H. T. Harvey & Associates. He has made major contributions to the study of bird migration and movements, and also has a strong background in vertebrate community ecology and population biology in terrestrial, estuarine, and marine habitats. His current focus areas are assessing and mitigating the potential effects of solar, wind and marine hydrokinetic projects can have on birds, and applying our wildlife and renewable energy-related expertise to projects in California and other western states and Hawaii.
Scott has a Ph.D. in biology/ecology from the State University of New York, Albany, and M.S. and B.S. in zoology from Arizona State University.
